Have you been looking around lately and you see signs going up and then coming right back down really quickly in some neighborhoods and conversely other neighborhoods the signs go up and they stay up? Pricing a home is critical, especially now! While it might be a seller’s market, please don’t mistake that to mean buyers will pay whatever you want!! A seller’s market merely means that there is not enough inventory to accommodate all of the buyers, so buyers are competing against each other and are willing to pay a little over fair market value in some cases but not an exaggerated amount over the list price. Keep in mind that the buyers of today are very tech-savvy and have a general idea of what the value is before they walk through that door! It’s critical that you contact a realtor who is experienced, who is an excellent negotiator, and one that will work on your behalf. A relationship with your Realtor is paramount! Remember this is one of the biggest purchases you’ll make in your lifetime and you want to make sure that you are in the right hands!
